    The Most Unique Interview Experience

Recently, I encountered a unique experience during an interview where the whole company’s front-end and back-end team played a Switch game together. The other person got so into it that they accidentally knocked the console off the table. It was a startup with a very lively and open team atmosphere.

The purpose was said to be to understand how one handles pressure and communicates within a team. I must admit that once I got into the game, I really couldn’t think too much about it. It wasn’t until after playing that I realized I was still in an interview.

My reflection afterward was that since it was a live interview, I should not focus on the outcome but rather on the process. One shouldn’t apply previous best strategies directly just because they have played before; each team has its own suitable approach.

Of course, you don’t have to overthink everything. Every individual is unique, and as long as the game and collaboration are fun, there is no only answer.

A great team collaboration game! Unrailed!🔗
